Hog pancreatic kallikrein does improve sperm motility and sperm migration in vitro. Kallikrein can be used for artificial insemination to improve cervical mucus sperm penetration ability of spermatozoa with reduced motility. Homologous insemination in 52 couples during a period of one year yields a conception rate of 38.5%. Insemination with kallikrein showed no side effects. Abortion rate with 15% was within the normal range. All delivered babies were healthy and showed no abnormalities.
