Forty patients with post-operative chest infection were treated with cefuroxime, the majority receiving 750 mg intramuscularly 3-times daily for a mean period of 6.5 days. The results showed that 36 (90%) responded successfully and required no further antibiotic therapy. The mean time to improvement or cure was 3.6 days, and treatment was generally well tolerated.
40例术后胸部感染患者接受头孢呋辛治疗，大多数患者每日3次、每次750mg肌肉注射，平均疗程6.5天。结果显示，36例（90%）治疗成功，无需进一步使用抗生素治疗。症状改善或治愈的平均时间为3.6天，治疗耐受性总体良好。
