Abstract
In a study to assess the psychosocial and sexual effects of contraceptive vasectomy by questionnaire and personal interview, 10 out of 82 respondents indicated some psychological problem arising from the operation. Five out of seven couples interviewed had histories of marital, sexual, or psychological instability. Screening of applicants for vasectomy is therefore recommended, pre-existing instability being a contraindication to the operation.

在一项通过问卷调查和个人访谈来评估输精管结扎术对心理社会及性方面影响的研究中，82名受访者中有10人表示手术引发了一些心理问题。接受访谈的7对夫妻中，有5对存在婚姻、性或心理方面不稳定的病史。因此，建议对输精管结扎术申请者进行筛查，存在预先存在的不稳定情况是该手术的禁忌证。
