Psychological problems in 170 adolescence that were seen in the Singapore Child Psychiatry Clinic were compared with 2 other reported series from the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The course and prognosis appear similar to what has been observed in the West. The emotional or neurotic conditions have the best outlook while the psychotics have an improvement rate of not more than 45%.
