Abstract

The subcellular fraction of wheat embryos most rich in DNA-polymerase is the soluble fraction. After presoaking the DNA-polymerase activity localized in this fraction is particularly enhanced. In the present paper a preliminary study on some characteristics of the soluble DNA-polymerase of wheat embryos from seeds treated or not with presoaking is reported.
