[An anatomical variation as an unusual cause of the ulnaris compression syndrome].

An anatomic variant was the cause of a compression syndrome of the ulnar nerve at the wrist. It was an accessory muscle of the M. palmaris longus that initially created difficulties in diagnosis. By excision of the muscle the symptoms were relieved.
