[A new model for demonstrating the hepatic first-pass effect (author's transl)].

A procedure is reported for inserting chronically implanted vascular catheters into the hepatic vein, aorta and portal vein. Dogs are used as experimental animals. By rinsing the catheters daily it is possible to maintain their patency for months, thus permitting numerous test series.
