Abstract
In 18 female patients affected by advanced breast cancer, the serum prolactin (PRL) levels have been determined under basal conditions and after the administration of analgesic opiates such as methadone and pentazocine. A significant increase of prolactin serum values was found after the use of both drugs. This finding is considered to be of clinical importance.

在18例晚期乳腺癌女性患者中，测定了基础状态下以及给予美沙酮和喷他佐辛等镇痛阿片类药物后的血清催乳素（PRL）水平。使用这两种药物后均发现催乳素血清值显著升高。这一发现被认为具有临床重要性。
