Antibody production against the mitogenic principle of extract Phytohaemagglutinin' has been measured in a sheep and in three patients with aplastic anaemia treated with Phytohaemagglutinin'. (A fourth patient produced no measurable antibody.) The antibody production curve has some of the characteristics of a primary response and was compared with results of a second immunization in the case of the sheep. The titrations depended on the leucocyte culture method as a biological indicator of mitogenic activity.
