Abstract
Intracerebral infusion of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) facilitated copulatory behaviour of long-term castrated rats. Castrated rats were given daily systemic injections of testosterone propionate (50 microgram) or oil vehicle, and then 30 min before behavioural testing they received an intrahypothalamic infusion of either PGE2 or saline. Rats receiving PGE2 in addition to systemic testosterone showed more copulatory behaviour than those receiving PGE2 or testosterone alone.

脑室内注入前列腺素E2（PGE2）可促进长期去势大鼠的交配行为。给去势大鼠每日进行丙酸睾酮（50微克）或油剂载体的全身注射，然后在行为测试前30分钟，给它们进行下丘脑内注入PGE2或生理盐水。除全身给予睾酮外还接受PGE2的大鼠比单独接受PGE2或睾酮的大鼠表现出更多的交配行为。
