Only one-half of 31 spinal cord injury patients had good to fair results following cutaneous uretero-ileostomy. Poor results and deaths with urinary complications were more prevalent in the cervical and upper thoracic than in the more caudad cord lesions. There was a spread of 1/2 to 19 years in time interval from onset of spinal cord injury to performance of the Bricker procedure. A tendency for unsatisfactory postoperative courses was more associated with the longer time intervals.
31例脊髓损伤患者中，只有一半在接受皮肤输尿管回肠造口术后取得了良好至中等的效果。与低位脊髓损伤相比，颈髓和上胸段脊髓损伤患者出现不良结果及因泌尿系统并发症死亡的情况更为普遍。从脊髓损伤发生到进行布里克尔手术的时间间隔为半年至19年不等。术后病程不理想的倾向与较长的时间间隔关系更大。
