Identification of nonfermentative gram negative rods encountered in medical bacteriology exhibit some difficulties in the clinical laboratory. However, we believe that, if identification procedures are applied systematicaly and step by step more than 90% of nonfermentative gram negative bacteria can be identified within 72 hours.
