Abstract
The different mineral densities and their distribution within human bone of the iliac crest, the femoral and the humeral head are analysed by microradiography with computerized photometry. 10 male and 11 female corpses between the age of 17 to 80, show that the results obtained depended upon age, sex and upon the site of the bone biopsy. Bcause of the small number of cases in this preliminary investigation, careful interpretation of these differences is mandatory. The advantages of this method are discussed.
