Effect of osmic acid given into the rat knee in different concentrations was studied. Both the 0,5% and the 1% concentration of osmic acid were found to produce necrosis and later regeneration of the synovial membrane. A partial necrosis of the fibrous cartilage and degenerative changes on the hyaline cartilage were observed too. Changes of the hyaline cartilage could not be assessed with certainty in their present study and further experiments are to be planned to detect them.
研究了不同浓度锇酸注入大鼠膝关节的效果。发现0.5%和1%浓度的锇酸均会导致滑膜坏死及随后的再生。还观察到纤维软骨部分坏死以及透明软骨的退行性变化。在他们目前的研究中，无法确定透明软骨的变化，因此计划进一步开展实验来检测这些变化。
