Operative treatment of subtrochanteric fractures of the femur was performed in 65 patients in the years 1975 through 1981. This study is an analysis of complications with reference to fracture types and operative techniques. Complications were non-union of fracture with loosening of the plate in 4, delayed union in 4, osteitis in 1 and gliding of nails in 4 cases. Neglecting the importance of continuity of the medial cortex combined with too small plates and wrong operative technique had been the reasons for failure in all cases and could have been avoided.
1975年至1981年期间，对65例股骨转子下骨折患者进行了手术治疗。本研究是针对骨折类型和手术技术对并发症进行的分析。并发症包括4例骨折不愈合伴钢板松动、4例延迟愈合、1例骨炎和4例髓内钉滑动。忽视内侧皮质连续性的重要性、使用过小的钢板以及错误的手术技术是所有病例失败的原因，这些本可避免。
