The zinc, copper, iron, and manganese contents of fourteen commercial enteral feeds were measured. In some cases there were large discrepancies between the levels stated by the manufacturers and those found on analysis. Several feeds provided less than the USA recommended dietary allowances and the estimated safe and adequate daily dietary intakes in the quantity providing 8.4 MJ (2000 kcal).
