Abstract

The STA-MCA (superficial temporal artery-middle cerebral artery) bypass has become increasingly popular in the treatment of cerebral vascular disease. Indication and assessment of postoperative results have been based on clinical grounds and on findings from cerebral angiography (10). In order to obtain objective data, regional cerebral blood flow studies have been performed pre- and postoperatively in our institution since 1971 (5, 6, 12). The value of the bypass procedure is still controversial. The results of a multicenter cooperative study are not yet available. It is the purpose of this article to give the first report of a 10-year follow-up after bypass and to reevaluate the selection for bypass surgery.

颞浅动脉-大脑中动脉(STA-MCA)搭桥术在脑血管疾病的治疗中越来越受欢迎。手术指征及术后结果评估一直基于临床依据和脑血管造影的结果(参考文献10)。为了获取客观数据,自1971年起我们机构就已在术前和术后进行局部脑血流研究(参考文献5、6、12)。搭桥手术的价值仍存在争议。一项多中心合作研究的结果尚未公布。本文旨在首次报告搭桥术后10年的随访情况,并重新评估搭桥手术的选择标准。
