Abstract
After extraction with two organic solvent mixtures, urinary 5-hydroxy-3-indoleacetic acid can be assayed by "high-performance" liquid chromatography on a reversed-phase column, with electrochemical detection. Compared to the nitrosonaphthol method (J. Biol. Chem. 216: 499, 1955), this method is more specific for detection of patients with carcinoid tumors.

用两种有机溶剂混合物萃取后，尿中5-羟基-3-吲哚乙酸可用反相柱高效液相色谱法并采用电化学检测进行测定。与亚硝基萘酚法（《生物化学杂志》216: 499, 1955）相比，该方法在检测类癌肿瘤患者时更具特异性。
