Abstract

The effects of Atrazine (a herbicide of the Triazines class) in doses of 100 ppm on the circadian rhythms of RNA, DNA and total protein in the thyroid and adrenal were studied on 60 adult white Wistar male rats as against the controls. Atrazine affected the circadian rhythms of these indexes differently, in relation to the index and to the specific endocrine tissue. These alterations point to changes in the regulation systems of endocrine secretion in the two glands studied.
