Abstract
The procedure of a topochemical and histological investigation of a rare pigmentation in the cerebellum, especially of the nucleus dentatus cerebelli is described. The actual results of the pigment analysis suggest that the pigment may belong to the group of melanin. It occurs as extraneuronal polygonal structure. The prepigments are rich of chromolipoids and will transmit in a melanin with a nonenzymatic oxidation.
