Abstract

Electrophoresis of the investigated materials was carried out in a Shandou SAE soothern 2761 chamber. The amylase activity was demonstrated by the sandwich method on an agar starch substrate. A comparatively best result was obtained with the use of a Celogel carrier, followed by the cellulose-acetate folio and agar. It was found that the rumen liquid had up to 5 amylase-active zones with the use of Celogel or cellulose-acetate folio. The proper conditions for incubation of the substrate were: temperature--45 degrees C, time--1 h, and pH value--5.
