Complete remission in extragonadal seminoma primarily treated with chemotherapy and restaged by retroperitoneal nodal dissection.

A case of a bulky primary extragonadal seminoma which was treated initially with chemotherapy consisting of cis-diamminedichloroplatinum (cis-DDP) and vinblastine is reported. Previously, radiotherapy has been the initial treatment of choice for seminoma. Complete remission was documented by retroperitoneal nodal dissection.
