Abstract
A Tc-99m pertechnetate thyroid scan performed post-operatively in a patient with Hashimoto's disease demonstrated an area of uptake that simulated either ectopic or metastatic thyroid tissue. Radionuclide angiography showed vascular retention of the tracer.
