[In memory of Kurt Sprengel (1766-1833)--on the 150th anniversary of his death on 15 March 1983].

The Halle professor in ordinary Kurt Sprengel has in various form contributed to the development of medical education in the early 19th century. In 1983 there are 150 years since his death; for this reason his scientific and educational work was reminded of, particularly emphasizing the main disciplines represented by him.
