Abstract
The method of lateral biopsy of the nail is advisable due to the following: 1. Easy to carry out. 2. Renders enough material for histopathological study, which permits easy orientation and interpretation. 3. Good posterior cosmetic results. 4. Various ungual diseases such as Psoriasis, Lichen Planus, etc., can be easily diagnosed.
