Abstract
The surgical techniques involved in the simultaneous harvesting of the pancreas and kidneys from a cadaveric donor and the subsequent transplantation of the organs are presented in detail. The advantages of synchronous transplantation of the pancreas and kidneys in the treatment of end-stage diabetic nephropathy are also discussed.
