FSH and LH levels as well as the ratio of LH to FSH before and after wedge resection were checked in 25 women with polycystic ovaries in connection with histomorphology. The probands were subdivided histomorphologically by the following three groups: 1. diffuse hyperplasia and luteinized theca interna; 2. foci of hyperplastic and luteinized stroma cells; 2. various corpus luteum-formations. A correlation was found to exist between gonadotropin levels in serum and histomorphological changes. FSH levels, for example, were much lower in the third group, while postoperative LH levels remained to be higher in cases of more strongly pronounced follicular and stromal luteinisation and more strongly manifest changes in corpus luteum-formations.
对25例多囊卵巢女性患者在楔形切除术前、后检查了促卵泡生成素（FSH）和促黄体生成素（LH）水平以及LH与FSH的比值，并结合组织形态学进行分析。根据组织形态学将这些受试者分为以下三组：1. 弥漫性增生和黄素化的内膜；2. 增生和黄素化基质细胞灶；3. 各种黄体形成。发现血清促性腺激素水平与组织形态学变化之间存在相关性。例如，第三组的FSH水平要低得多，而在卵泡和基质黄素化更明显以及黄体形成变化更显著的病例中，术后LH水平仍然较高。
