We have shown the presence of a specific binding of 5 hydroxytryptophan in the red nucleus and oculomotor nucleus of the Rat brain. The analysis of the saturation curve carried out on a membrane preparation suggests the existence of a high affinity binding site (Kd = 1 nM).
