Abstract

The incidence and development on the azygos vein lobe are reviewed briefly. Examination of 10 000 radiographs of normal people showed that it occurred in 0,7% of cases. The clinical significance of the azygos vein lobe is discussed. In particular it may important in evaluating post-operative radiographs of patients in intensive care.
