Gastric acid secretion after small bowel resection was studied on 46 Wistar-rats using a perfusion method like gastrin-bioassay of Lai. Basal acid output (BAO) and peak acid output (PAO) was increased in 2 of 7 rats with proximal small bowel resection (75%). Peak acid output was significantly decreased after distal small bowel resection (66%). The results suggest that gastric hypersecretion is not a regular effect of subtotal intestinal resection. We concluded there is no fear of a regular peptic ulcer disease after massive small bowel resection.
采用类似赖氏胃泌素生物测定法的灌注方法，对46只Wistar大鼠进行小肠切除术后胃酸分泌的研究。7只近端小肠切除的大鼠中有2只（75%）基础酸排出量（BAO）和最大酸排出量（PAO）增加。远端小肠切除术后最大酸排出量显著降低（66%）。结果表明，胃酸分泌过多并非小肠部分切除的常规效应。我们得出结论，大面积小肠切除术后无需担心会经常发生消化性溃疡疾病。
