Abstract

The collective volume of Leydig cells in prenatally pinealectomized newborn rats declined as sharply as in intact newborn rats. Also, the collective volume in pups born in the dark declined in a fashion similar to that in pups born in the light. The results indicate that neither the pineal gland nor the light is responsible for the neonatal shrinkage of Leydig cells.

摘要

在出生前接受松果体切除的新生大鼠中,睾丸间质细胞的总体积下降幅度与完整新生大鼠一样大。此外,在黑暗中出生的幼崽的总体积下降方式与在光照中出生的幼崽相似。结果表明,松果体和光照都不是导致新生大鼠睾丸间质细胞萎缩的原因。
