Lens design factors of aphakic gas permeable lenses.

Information on factors related to the design of aphakic gas permeable hard lenses is provided in this report. Effects of lens thickness, anterior optic flange radius, and junction zone are discussed in relation to lens performance and oxygen availability. Based on this information, guidelines for lens selection are given.
