The antibiotic sensitivity of the microorganisms most commonly isolated from suppurative surgical wounds has been determined. The activity of the assayed antibiotics on both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria decreased from the highest values found with metronidazole (97.14%) to the lowest ones found with penicillin G (50.47%).
