Basing on a comparative study of the results of combined treatment (irradiation + operation) and surgery alone provided to patients with extra-abdominal desmoid (ED) the authors reach a conclusion that preoperative gamma-beam therapy can be regarded as an important means of recurrence prevention. In incomplete resection of tumors the treatment should be supplemented by postoperative irradiation, because in radiotherapy alone cure can be achieved with high summary doses only. It is still difficult to judge of the advantages of irradiation of ED under the conditions of hyperbaric oxygenation by the frequency of recurrences.
基于对接受联合治疗（放疗+手术）和单纯手术的腹外硬纤维瘤（ED）患者结果的比较研究，作者得出结论，术前伽马射线治疗可被视为预防复发的重要手段。在肿瘤不完全切除的情况下，治疗应辅以术后放疗，因为仅靠放疗只有在高总剂量时才能实现治愈。根据复发频率来判断高压氧条件下ED放疗的优势仍很困难。
