Abstract
No direct relationship was found between the mechanism of echinocytosis development in cancer patients and hormonal disorders (hypercorticoidism and hyperparathyroidism). However, echinocytic transformation of red blood cells renders their membranes less sensitive to changes in blood levels of these hormones.
