Abstract

Polysymptomatic female hysterics (Briquet's syndrome) are good or excellent hypnotic subjects with few exceptions, and many have multiple personalities. Furthermore, female patients with major conversion symptoms are excellent hypnotic subjects. The evidence supports spontaneous self-hypnosis as the prime mechanism in many patients with severe hysterical neuroses.

多症状的女性癔症患者（布里凯综合征）几乎无一例外都是良好或极佳的催眠对象，而且许多患者有多重人格。此外，有严重转换症状的女性患者也是极佳的催眠对象。证据支持自发自我催眠是许多重度癔症神经症患者的主要机制。
