Abstract

A diagnostic kit for the enzymatic determination of urea was evaluated. The with-in-run had a coefficient of variation of 1.9-2.4%. The day-to-day run precision was found to have a coefficient of variation of 2.1 - 3.5%. The mean analytical recovery was 97.5%. A correlation study was done with the Technicon Mark II method. Good linearity was found up to 30 mmol/l; after the addition of NADH linearity was extended up to 60 mmol/l. The working reagent was stable for two days.
