When creativity is considered as an approach to problem-solving, rather than as an innate talent, then education can play an important role in its development. This paper postulates that competency-based education, because of its emphasis on stated objectives, feedback, self-evaluation, and alternative learning experiences, is an approach to curriculum design that should lead students to become more creative thinkers. A description of competency-based-education is given, and research on educational methods and creativity is surveyed. The implications of this type of program for occupational therapy education are considered.
当创造力被视为一种解决问题的方法,而非一种天赋时,那么教育在其发展过程中就能发挥重要作用。本文假定,基于能力的教育由于强调既定目标、反馈、自我评估以及多样化的学习体验,是一种课程设计方法,应能引导学生成为更具创造力的思考者。文中给出了基于能力的教育的描述,并对教育方法与创造力的研究进行了综述。同时也探讨了这类课程对职业治疗教育的启示。
