The analysis of the course and issues of the disease in 1424 patients with operable cancer of the mammary gland indicated that using of the postoperative chemotherapy increases a 5-year survival without recurrences and metastases, on an average, by 10%, while in early tumors (without regional metastases)--by 15-20%. Moreover, in patients subjected to chemotherapy distant metastases appear in later terms than in those without it.
