In vitro experiments showed PGE1 (2.10(-6) and 5.10(-6) M) to decrease adrenaline and noradrenaline uptake by the rat myocardium homogenates. On the other hand, neither PGE1 nor PGA1 influenced the interaction between troponin and noradrenaline. Apparently, the capacity of PGs to decrease catecholamine uptake by the myocardium was not mediated by their effect on troponin.
