The author examined the amount of total lipids and single lipid fractions of liver in 78 female rats with fascioliasis and with facioliasis combined with energy-protein deficit on the 10th, 30th, 90th, 180th and 240th day after the parasitic invasion. The used a thin-layer chromatographic technique for separation and determination of the concentration of single lipid reactions. There was a tendency to an increase of the liver fats in fascioliasis, but to a reduction in the combination of fascioliasis with undernourishment at the acute stage. She discusses the pathogenesis of the observed changes in the lipid metabolism in connection with the course of the infectious process.
