Abstract

A case of paracoccidioidomycosis of the skull is presented. No evidence of a previous lung, mucous membrane, or nervous system infection was found. Radiological and surgical findings suggested osteomyelitis. The authors stress the importance of including paracoccidioidomycosis in the differential diagnosis of osteolytic skull lesions in countries where this fungus is endemic.

本文报告一例颅骨副球孢子菌病病例。未发现既往有肺部、黏膜或神经系统感染的证据。影像学和手术检查结果提示为骨髓炎。作者强调，在这种真菌为地方病的国家，在溶骨性颅骨病变的鉴别诊断中纳入副球孢子菌病的重要性。
