The inaccuracy of cancer registries at oncological dispensaries is due to the incomplete and delayed supply of statistical data on cancer patients and deaths from neoplasms by the district oncological service authorities, treated cancer patients and consultations given--by general clinical hospitals and diagnoses of cancer established post-mortem or shortly before death--by the local authorities of general medical services. As a result of the efforts made by the staff of the Cancer Control Department of the Sverdlovsk Regional Oncological Dispensary to obviate this difficulty, cancer registry coverage rose from 59.8% in 1960 to 100% in 1980.
肿瘤防治所癌症登记的不准确，是由于地区肿瘤防治服务部门、收治癌症患者的综合临床医院以及提供会诊服务的部门，未能完整且及时地提供癌症患者统计数据及肿瘤死亡数据，还有地方医疗卫生服务部门未能及时提供尸检或临终前不久确诊的癌症病例数据。斯维尔德洛夫斯克地区肿瘤防治所癌症控制部工作人员努力克服这一困难，使得癌症登记覆盖范围从1960年的59.8%升至1980年的100%。
