The filter attachment enables rapid and continuous transfusion of stored erythrocytes and of stored whole blood. This attachment is used both with a microfilter and a largepore transfusion device. The filter attachment enables bloodless preparation of the transfusion. The blood volume previously remaining in the microfilter, can now be transfused completely.
