[Effect of mercuric ions (II) on ability of blood plasma proteins to bind various forms of ascorbic acid].

Blood plasma proteins treated with mercuric ions (II), bound the oxidized derivatives of ascorbic acid at accelerated rates. Importance of this phenomenon for studies of the effects of environmental pathogenic factors is discussed.
