A new method by considering the physiological relations by means of strain gauges was explored for the investigation of the peristaltic activity of the ileal ureter. The motility of the ileal ureter can be measured simultaneously with the peristaltic activity of the ileum by this method, and mathematical signal analysis. The ileal ureter has a continuous rhythmic peristalsis. This one differs from the contractions of the ileum above all by the amplitude. The ileal ureter secures the urinary transport under different experimental situations with enlarged amplitude and rhythmic peristalsis.
