A method for SEM visualization of skin appendages and elastic fibres around them is described. Skin sections were autoclaved for 4 h and followed by fixation, dehydration and xylol-air drying. Using this method, the three-dimensional architectural details of each type of skin appendage and related elastic fibre network were demonstrated.
