Abstract
A 17-yr-old girl with an 8-yr history of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) developed thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP), which was successfully treated by plasmapheresis. The occurrence of TTP in patients with SLE is discussed and efficacy of treatment is reviewed.
