generally appears to be increased in patients with this condition. Thirteen of 90 patients who had CML and were seen at The Johns Hopkins Hospital between 1967 and 1977 had a second malignancy; two were less than 35 years old. Pertinent literature on the occurrence of second malignancies in patients with CML is reviewed.
