The modalities and practical implementation times for diagnostic examination and organization of the treatment plan for the periodontopathic patient are described. The individual operative events, namely study of the history, objective examination and X-ray investigation are illustrated. Through diagnosis and prognosis, comparative evaluation of the resulting data enables a therapeutic plan to be laid down.
